The state track meet is just around the corner! Here is some very basic information to get your minds thinking about this meet.

ALL OTHER EVENTS: The state track meet will be held at Omaha Bryan over two days: Saturday, 22nd and Sunday 23rd. Unlike all other track meets this year, the events each have a starting time, with field events with times based on sex/age groups. This meet is NOT included in the $90 regular season fee and will be an additional cost to you. Exact cost, registration and how to give payment will be coming in the next few days. Generally, a single event will cost $7, with the multi events ranging from $10-$15.

Based on your child’s performance and/or your parental discretion, you may choose to only enter your child in one, two or three events. For example, Ben has not been near the top 8 in long jump, so we will not register him in the LJ for State.

Athletes who earned 1st-8th place at the State Meet will advance on to the Regional Meet in Fargo, North Dakota. As always, more information is found on the general USATF website http://nebraskausatf.org/main/?p=1560
